SciCon 2022 has two competitions
Electronic Notebook Submission
Electronic Notebook Submission Competition
Participate as an individual or as a team.
Register for the event either as an individual or part of a team. Already have a team? Send us a message on Discord and tell us about your teammates! Don't have a team but want to join one? We got you covered with our matchmaking system.
Publish your work to the world
The topic must fit the "Metascience meets Decentralized Science" theme. Some ideas include:
-
Discuss current flaws of the academic system
-
Review current Metascience works
-
Propose an innovative idea
to solve these flaws
Work on your content for a week
You will have a full week (July 15-22) to work on a free-format submission that you will have to post on ResearchHub through the Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) feature. Learn more about the ELN feature here.
Present Your Research Competition
Let us know you're up for it!
Each participant must register for the competition by the end of the event (Friday, July 22) by selecting "Present your Research" Competition on the registration page.
Explain your research simply
Explain your research in a three minutes video. Use simple terms that could be understood by a non-technical audience.
Earn votes
Similar to a poster session, the community will vote on their preferred content. Those videos that will have received the highest number of upvotes will be the winners of the competition.
